Chris Hume – Managing Director
Chris has had a lifetime of management experience, commencing with a very hands-on role as owner/manager of an agricultural business, followed by management of an agricultural partnership across several properties. A hard work ethic, a common-sense approach, and a level of integrity has fostered trusting relationships. For the last 15 years, he has extended his role to the successful managing directorship of Geotas Pty Ltd. During this time, the business has been modernised, re-structured, and has formed some very strong business building relationships, leading to some large joint venture projects, and a solid pipe-line of ongoing work and sales enquiries.
Craig Haremza – Tasmanian Sales Manager
Having majored in Management and Marketing at University, Craig has utilised his skill set to optimise sales and implement strategies to create a more effective and efficient business structure. With 20 years’ experience in Civil Construction and Engineering products including Geosynthetics, Guardrail and Lining systems this enables him to provide expert knowledge and/or services that are specifically directed to the Civil and Construction market. Apart from his role as Tasmanian Sales Manager he also prioritises and manages multiple projects within specifications and budget restrictions including the management of installation teams.
Steve Legros – Logistics Manager
Steve’s position is integral to managing logistics support and supply chain activities that contribute to the capability and operations of Geotas. Predominately responsible for ensuring the smooth, effective and efficient operation with respect to product supply, distribution and inventory management. Working with multiple stakeholders’ strong coordination and organisational skills are required. Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, consumers and sub-contractors. Supporting Craig our Tasmanian Sales Manager with the estimating of small to medium sized Safety Barrier Projects, Steve has 15 years’ experience in Civil Construction and Engineering products including Geosynthetics, Guardrail, Concrete Products and Lining systems which enables him to provide knowledge and/or services that are specifically directed to the Civil and Construction market.
Karen Dwyer – Office Administrator
Karen brings to the Team an abundance of experience in office and accounts administration, with Karen having worked in such roles for some 30 + years. A crucial part of the Team, she deftly handles our accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll, project financials, quality management system and other reporting obligations. She has knowledge of all the products we sell and often supports sales by handling customer enquiries and completing customer sales.
Ashish Ghimire – Warehousing & Sales Support
As a Warehouse Coordinator, Ash plays a vital role in keeping Geotas moving, not only does he handle the loading and unloading of stock from trailers, trucks, or containers he maintains the storage, reconciliation and dispatch of our vast array of products. The processing of customer orders and liaison with freight carriers is a big part of his day to day activities.

Lachlan Jacobson – Project Administration & sales Support
Lachy came to Geotas after having worked with our Joint Venture Partner, H2O Enviro as a part of their liner installation crew. Predominately responsible for the programming, scheduling and managing of our contract installation works ensuring an efficient and timely delivery including liaising with clients, sub-contractors and the general public. He is very quickly learning about our large range of products and is also there to assist with any sales enquiries.
